One of the most important factors for any app owner to take into consideration when creating and designing an app is the platform. Selecting the best publication platform can have an impact on a number of app development process elements. Following one set of rules does not ensure acceptance on another because every platform has its own set of rules. It’s critical to comprehend and adhere to these particular rules. We’ll list the most frequent app store rejection reasons and mistakes that often result in app rejections on Apple’s App Store to make the process easier.

You first need to sign in to your App Store Connect and access your app.

Issue 1: Missing Privacy Policy URL

One of the most common reasons Apple might reject your app is a missing privacy policy URL. We will go through the two sections where you should have a link to your privacy policy page.

1. From the left menu, go to the ‘App Privacy’ section and click ‘Edit.

From-the-left-menu,-go-to-the-‘App-Privacy’-section-and-click-‘Edit

2. Enter your link for your privacy policy page and click ‘Save.’

Enter-your-link-for-your-privacy-policy-page-and-click-‘Save

Issue 2: Login Credentials For App Review

This step is essential because Apple will need to access your app in order to evaluate its content and ensure that it complies with Apple requirements. Make sure to match the same email address or mobile number with the one generated from your demo account. Then, include the following instructions in the ‘App Review Information’ section.

1. Open App
2. Tap “ACCEPT AND CONTINUE”
3. Tap “Allow” to allow notifications permission
4. Under the country code select: “The country”
5. Enter the following phone number: “xxxxxxx”
6. Tap “Next”
7. App will open and you will have full access
8. The app will open granting you all permissions.
9. To delete your account go to settings -> Account -> Delete my account.

Issue 3: CallKit China Error

The CallKit China error in App Store Connect occurs when an app utilizes Apple’s CallKit framework, which lets apps do VoIP and other calling-related things. Because the Chinese government has strict rules on VoIP services, Apple doesn’t let apps with CallKit features be sold in the Chinese App Store. Developers can keep CallKit working in other markets while avoiding rejection by making changes to the app to meet regional compliance standards.

Note that this error will mostly pop up if your app includes features like audio & video calling

Make sure to include ‘We replied about CallKit functionality over Resolution Center’ in your login instructions.

CallKit-China-Error

Issue 4: Missing App Information

App Promotional Text & Description

Your app’s description and promotional text should be included in App Store Connect’s app information so that your users can see how valuable your app is.

The promotional text is displayed extensively in search results and serves as an attention-grabbing, clear summary that highlights the primary features and functions of the app. It should be no more than 170 characters. You should make sure your text is brief, precisely clear and mentions exactly what your app represents.

Although the description leads users to seek further explanation and information before downloading. You have 4,000 characters to outline the features, advantages, and any special selling propositions of the app.

It’s not recommended to just include the category of your app in the description. For instance, if you wrote “Messenger App,” Apple would undoubtedly reject it because there are so many other messenger apps available in the store; what makes yours unique?

Missing-App-Information

App Previews and Screenshots

Making your app visually stand out on the Apple Store requires adding screenshots. These screens also aid in conveying the personality of your brand and the operation of the app.

Because Apple favors high-quality screenshots that accurately represent the app’s features, using lower-quality screenshots may result in your app being rejected. This is especially true, as you must use screenshots of the actual app to demonstrate its features. Make sure to include a screen recording for your app too.

App-Previews

Issue 5: Data Collection

This section is crucial for informing users about your app’s privacy policies and ensuring transparency. This section requires app owners to disclose the types of information their apps collect about their users. These types of information, such as their location, contacts, usage patterns, and any information they share externally.

This data declaration is important because it affects users’ trust and shows that Apple is serious about protecting users’ privacy. If you falsify or omit any data collection methods, Apple may reject your app.

From the left menu, go to the ‘App Privacy’ section and click ‘Get started’ and start declaring your app’s collected data.

Data-Collection

Check out this documentation on how to declare your app data.

Issue 6: App’s Bugs & Errors

Apple prioritizes app stability and usefulness, swiftly rejecting apps that crash or exhibit significant flaws during the approval process. Not only do crashes and major problems compromise the user experience, but they also negatively impact the caliber of the App Store. Reviewers of Apple thoroughly test every app to make sure it can manage several user interactions without failing.

For example, we will report an app for rejection if it freezes under normal use, fails to load some features, or crashes on launch. Developers should extensively test their apps on several devices and iOS versions, addressing any possible stability problems before release. Ensuring a flawless, dependable experience helps developers raise the likelihood of their app passing Apple’s rigorous review criteria and providing customers with a more favorable and consistent engagement.

Issue 7: Copyright & Repetitive Content

App Store Connect frequently rejects apps due to copyright infringement. This is especially true when an app copies content or looks a lot like other apps. To keep the app ecosystem full of high-quality, unique apps, Apple has tight rules against apps that are copies or do the same thing over and over again.

Apple doesn’t allow apps that look too much like current ones, especially ones that don’t have any major features that make them different. This is against their intellectual property rules. These repeated entries make the App Store more difficult to navigate and more crowded. Ensure your app stands out with original, useful content and features to prevent rejection. Additionally, ensuring appropriate licensing for any third-party material is crucial to adhere to Apple’s copyright regulations and prevent rejection.

Conclusion

Understanding and knowing Apple’s top reasons for rejecting apps, like bugs and crashes or data protection leaks, your app has a much better chance of being approved. Meeting Apple’s strict standards is a process that involves many steps, from making sure the app works properly to protecting users’ privacy. This process is easier to handle with nandbox. The nandbox App Builder helps users with all of the requirements in order to submit their app to the App Store successfully.

After following this article and the Apple Store Connect publishing guidelines thoroughly, you can now enjoy a prompt and easy submission process and enjoy your app without worrying about Apple rejecting it.

Imagine that your business is able to reach more than 1 billion people worldwide. This is the number of iOS users announced in September 2021. On the Apple Store, a lot of potential can surge for your business by landing a mobile app there.  The nandbox team will guide you to the Apple Store. Within the coming lines, you will know how to upload your app—built on nandbox App Builder—on the App Store Connect. There, you can prepare your app to get published on the Apple Store and manage it as well in the future. That’s after creating the App Store Connect account.

What is nandbox App Builder?

nandbox is a Canadian mobile app development platform, established in 2016. The SaaS platform has developed a no-code, mobile app builder, which enables everyone to make mobile apps with best-in-class capabilities. In other cases, companies and individuals needed to screen and recruit technical personnel for app development tasks. But with nandbox App Builder, you can build personalized, native, hosted-ready mobile apps with simple drag-and-drop. Neither coding nor upfront costs are needed—but a 7-day free trial and lifetime app support are.

7 basic steps on App Store Connect to anchor your app on the Apple Store

Step 1: Enroll Apple Developer Account

To submit your app to the Apple Store, you’ll need a developer account. For an Apple Developer account, you have to pay a one-time fee of $99 for individual accounts and $299 for organizational ones.

and don’t forget to invite nandbox as your App Manager. Here is a guide on how to do it.

Step 2: Upload IOS release to TestFlight

In order to test your app and upload it to your Apple Developer account, you need to download TestFlight on your device. Once you build an iOS release from your nandbox app builder, it will be uploaded automatically to TestFlight and your developer account.

Step 3: Set your Version information

You must include details about your application, such as its name, description, keywords, support link, tested build, and more. Upload any available video previews and screenshots as well.

Set-your-Version-information

Step 4: Set your Pricing and Availability

Choose whether your app will be free or paid, and set the price if it’s paid. Choose the regions where it can be sold.

Step 5: Set your app’s Privacy

You MUST make your app’s privacy policies and data collection techniques transparent because it collects user data. Make sure to answer all of Apple’s privacy questions and provide information on how you collect data from users.

Here is an Apple guide for more information

Step 6: Send for review

You can submit the app for review once all the necessary app information, including pricing and privacy, has been submitted. Your app will be compared to Apple’s guidelines, and Apple will approve your release if everything is in order.

Step 7: Release Your App

You can choose whether to manually release the app after the review process or let it happen automatically. If released automatically, the App Store will submit your app immediately upon approval.

Imagine yourself as an app developer going through the development journey. You’ve completed all the essential steps that are necessary to make an app functional. Starting from conducting research, learning your app’s purpose, settling on your app’s branding, and choosing the features. All of this may seem like more than enough; however, you still have one essential step left to take. That is publishing. It is becoming increasingly important for businesses to have an online presence. In order to take advantage of the many tools available to them. All app developers have the option of choosing between two platforms. To publish on the Google Play Store, businesses need to have a Google Developer Account. This article will discuss what a Google Developer Account is, its price, and how it can be used to benefit a business.

What is a Google Developer Account?

A Google Developer Account is an account that enables app developers to publish their apps on the Google Play Store. It provides access to the Google Play Store, as well as other features and integrations that enhance the app even more. With a Google Developer Account, developers are able to make their apps available to millions of users and monetize them. It is an essential tool for app developers to ensure their success in the app market and increase business exposure.

Benefits of Having a Google Developer Account

Get Discovered

Having a Google Developer Account gives you access to the Google Play Store, which is one of the largest app stores in the world. Among the 2.5 billion active users on the Google Play store and over 111 billion downloads. This gives your app the opportunity to be seen by millions of potential users, increasing your chances of success. With Google Play Store’s advanced targeting features, such as keywords, you can also make sure that your app is reaching the right people.

Monitor App Performance

Google Developer Account provides all the metrics and analytics that you need to track your app’s performance. You can use these insights to identify potential areas for improvement as well as to stay up to date with the latest trends in the app market. Additionally, the data provided by the Google Developer Account can be used to modify and update existing features so that you can provide users with the best possible experience. This can help you to ensure that your app is always running optimally and is as up-to-date as possible so that you can stay ahead of the competition and remain competitive in the market.

Generate Revenue

With a Google Developer Account, you can also monetize your app by enabling in-app purchases and running ads. This can help you generate additional revenue for your business and make your app more profitable. You can also use the Google Play Store’s promotional tools to increase downloads and get more users to try out your app. If you are also willing to develop a luxurious paid app or even convert your free app into a paid one, a Google Developers account is your companion. You will be able to set your pricing and closely monitor your profit.

Cost of a Google Developer Account

The cost of a Google Developer Account is a one-time fee of $25. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid in order to access the Google Play Store. Once you have paid the fee, you will be able to publish your app and make it available to millions of users. You have no limit to the number of apps you may publish to your Google Developer Account. Once the fee is paid, the sky is the limit. With the Google Developer Account, you can also take advantage of all the features that the Google Play Store has to offer, such as analytics, promotional tools, and in-app purchases.

How to Create a Google Developer Account

First, you are going to access the Google Play Console page, through which you will open your Google Developer account.

Keep in mind that in order to open the developer’s account, you need to have a Google account. So, make sure to create one if you don’t have any.

After signing in to your Google account, you need to choose your account type. You will have two options. The first is to choose ‘Yourself.’ This option is optimal if you are developing your app for fun or as a pursuit. The second is to choose ‘Organization.’ This option is ideal if you are developing your app for your business, whatever its type. We’ll walk through both options

How-to-Create-a-Google-Developer-Account

For Yourself

Following your selection of an option, you will be redirected to an ‘About you’ section. If you have any previous experience with the PlayStation or Android, you will need to write them down. Then you’ll be asked if you’ve accessed or used any other Google accounts with Play Console in the previous six months. Finally, you can provide a URL for your website if you have any or a social media profile to verify your identity. You can choose ‘I don’t have a website or social media profile’ if you’d like to provide either.

For-Yourself

Proceeding from there, you will set up your account by choosing your developer’s account name, contact name, contact email address, preferred language for further e-mail communications, your contact address, and your phone number. Keep in mind that you will need to verify both the email address and phone number. After entering each, you will click on ‘verify my email address/phone number’. Once you get both codes, you are good to go.

Getting to the pre-final step, which is the ‘apps’ section. In this section, you would provide general information about the app you created and wish to publish. Such as the number of apps you would like to publish if you are planning on monetizing in the future and your app’s categories.

For-Yourself2

Lastly, you would get to ‘Terms.’ To be able to finalize your account and pay the one-time fee, you need to read and agree to both the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement and the Google Play Console Terms of Service. Once you have read them carefully and thoroughly and agreed to them. It will instantly redirect you to the payment page. Now, you are ready to take off and publish as many apps as you want. Just make sure to stick to the Google Play Store guidelines to avoid reactions and ensure a seamless publishing process each time.

For An Organization

For-An-Organization

The steps for creating a Google Developer Account for an organization would be the exact same except for one additional step. In this step, you must provide Google with all of your organization’s information.  As an organization’s name, company or business name type, size, detailed address, phone number, and website. You also need to provide a reason as to why your organization doesn’t have a website to be able to proceed with the steps.

For-An-Organization2

Next, In the “About you” section, you will only need to provide any previous experience with android or Google Play Console

You will get to continue with the steps as they are, with no alterations. And there you have it: a Google Developer account for your organization where you can easily develop an app for your business and help it grow and flourish.

There you have it: everything you need to know about a Google Developer Account. From the price to the detailed and in-depth guide to developing one. Now that you have the easy and simplified key to publishing your app on one of the most powerful platforms available on the market. What is an SMTP server?

SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol; it’s a method of communicating via the internet for the purpose of exchanging electronic mail between users. SMTP’s primary function is to establish protocols for inter-server communication. The servers can reveal their true identities and make it known what kind of interaction they are attempting to conduct.

They also have a system in place for dealing with issues like invalid email addresses. If the recipient’s email address is incorrect, the server should respond with an error message.

How can SMTP work for individuals?

Huge businesses that have their own apps are definitely capable of creating their own servers. nandbox allows users to connect their own SMTP server to the login procedure in order to get registration requests from customers and give them the verification codes in response.

There are some sites that offer the SMTP service where you can customize your own domain and create a server for you for a fee, like Amazon SES SMTP and Sendinblue, or you can simply create a Gmail account and use it as your own server.

First: Unlocking security:

1. After creating a Gmail account, go to your dashboard and select Security from the side menu to enter your ‘Less secure app access.’

2. Then turn the toggle on to allow less security.

  • Name: Enter your name.
  • Host: Standard email ‘smtp-relay.gmail.com.’
  • Port: You can add one of these unsecured ports: ’25, 465, or 587.’
  • Username: Enter your email.
  • Password: Enter your email’s password.
  • Mail From: Enter your email again.

Here are Google’s guidelines for more information regarding secured ports.

6. Don’t forget to turn the toggle on after filling out everything to allow nandbox to link your server to your app and select ‘Save.’

Developers at nandbox Inc. are always at work expanding the nandbox app builder features and creating more. The purpose is to entice users to make fully functional apps in various categories. This time, we introduce the nandbox workflow feature, a new module that will help you create an all-in-one app for your business. The workflow feature is one of the most powerful features to add to our list of features. Stick around for this article to learn more about the new workflow feature, how it works, and how you can put it to use.

What is the Workflow Feature?

What-is-the-Workflow-Feature1

The workflow is a new feature you can add to the home menu of your app.

Think of a telecom account. You want to add credit to your account, so you head to the home menu and click on “Recharge.” You will get a prompt to enter the amount you want to recharge with and your bank information, then click submit. Afterward, you will get a message that confirms your payment has been processed.

You can now include that feature in your app to allow users to pay fees or get information using any third-party servers associated with your business. This is just one application of the workflow feature; you can do so much with your app when you add it.

To recap, as an app owner, you can add a clickable welcome screen with a description of what the user is about to do, input cells where they can enter any information, submit buttons, and output cells that provide them with any information.

With the new app builder UI, you can view all the workflow menus at once. And you can select which menu comes next. For example, you can choose the menu with the input cells after the welcome screen.

Applications of the Workflow Feature

This feature has many applications, and we’ve decided to provide some. You can devise other ideas to utilize this feature and integrate it within your app.

  1. Telecom app: Telecommunication companies can make a fully functional app with this feature, as mentioned above.
  2. E-Wallet: Stores can also use this feature to make apps where the users are redirected to a screen to enter their credit card information. Then, money should be paid or added to their account that they can use for different purposes.
  3. Integrating with different payment systems: For example, an education app can integrate with the school’s payment system for parents and guardians to pay fees. The same applies to other entities like hospitals, clinics, charity organizations, and more.
  4. Integration with any systems: Along with payment, users could retrieve information from another system through the feature. For example, parents can enter their children’s school ID numbers to get their grades from the system. Similarly, users can find out about their balance in eWallets. The possibilities are endless.

How Does It Work?

The workflow module is an interface for existing backend services, a marriage between your app and third-party servers. As an app owner, you can enter your system’s API ID for users to access when they click the submit button you assign. When users enter a child’s school ID, the ID number is sent to the school’s server. In return, the server responds by sending their grades to the app for their parents to view.

The purpose of this feature is so that the school, or any other entity, doesn’t have to create a separate app for the payment system. Their school app will be a comprehensive app that parents and teachers can access for anything, especially with other features like calendars, channels, news feeds, and group chats.

How to Configure the Workflow Module In 10 Steps

  1. The first step is to add the module to the home menu by dragging and dropping.
  2. Then, you can design the main screen by adding a button.
  3. When you click on the gear icon, you can configure the button by writing the title and description.
  4. Under the action menu, you can decide what happens when users click the button. Choices are a URL, another menu, or another feature. For example, users can access their list of group chats when they click on the button.
  5. Next, go back and click on add new menu.
  6. In the following menu, you can add input cells where users can enter information and a submit button.
  7. Click on the gear icon to write the title and choose the action when users click the submit button.
  8. You can add more menus with input cells. We don’t recommend adding too many input cells in one menu because users might find it taxing.
  9. In the final menu, add the output cell to display the information sent by the third-party system, like the school or banking system.
  10. Click on the gear icon to add a title and description to the output cell.
  11. Click on Save and generate an APK to test the feature if you have an Android device.

This is just the beginning; the workflow feature is continuously evolving with new features and capabilities. The nandbox app builder is always in progress to remain the best native no-code app builder in the market. Our features speak for themselves here, as the workflow is just one of many capable features like the built-in messenger, customizable store, event manager, and more.

Now that you understand the workflow feature and how to configure it, why not try it yourself? Sign up for the free trial today!

The final step of developing an app is bringing it to light. There’s no better way to incite downloads than publishing it on an official store, like the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. They both add layers of protection that provide users with security. Users don’t think twice before downloading an app from both official stores. That’s why we created this guide to show you how to publish an app on the Google Play Store and the App Store if you’re using the nandbox app builder for your app demo account setup.

The Demo Account

If your application has an authentication system for logging in via email or phone number, you should provide both Google and Apple with a demo account that includes a login and password. nandbox represents the Demo Account feature, which helps you create your demo account to accomplish the mission.

Important consideration must be given to the demo account before publishing your app, as Google and Apple Store might reject your submission for skipping this step. Both Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store might reject your submission for skipping this step, so they require a demo account for any app that has login functionality to review them for several reasons:

  • Content Checking: They must ensure the app’s content meets store guidelines. This includes checking for inappropriate or harmful content, age-appropriateness, and deception.
  • Security: The app must be secure. It must be malware-free and secure user data.
  • Advertisements and Purchases: They must be able to verify that in-app purchases and ads comply with store policies.
  • App Functionality Verification: All app features must be tested, not just the login screen. They must interact with as many as possible to prevent fraudulent or harmful apps from being published and maintain app store quality.

How It Works!

In the App Settings page, scroll down till you find the Signup & Registration section. Click the arrow to configure a login method in your app.

How-It-Works

The builder supports two methods: either via Email or Mobile. Choose the right one for your app and complete your configurations.

How-It-Works2

Here comes the role of the app demo account setup. After filling in your login registration method settings, the builder will generate the demo account used in your app review.

How-It-Works3

Copy your instructions and insert them in your Google Console account.

How-It-Works4

Google Play Console Account

At the App Content section, click App Access, mark “All or some functionality in my app is restricted,” then click Add instructions

The platform is the first thing any app owner should think about when conducting and developing an app. The platform on which you intend to publish your application is a major consideration and something that many factors depend on. The guidelines for platforms differ from one to another. So it’s not a standard that the guidelines you stick to for publishing your app meet. Following Google’s guidelines won’t certainly get it published on Apple’s App Store. It’s a very important step to understand these guidelines and work accordingly. To make it easy for you, we’re going to list for you the top pitfalls that are common and usually get apps rejected on the Google Play Store.

You first need to sign in to your Google Play Console and access your app.

Issue 1: Payment Information & ID Verification Error

Google can stop your publishing process if there are issues with your payment information or unverified ID. Thus, it is crucial to confirm your identification and make sure your payment details are up to date and accurately set up in your Google Play Console account. This rejection happens as a result of Google’s requirement that developers supply precise payment information in order to guarantee safe transactions and adherence to financial regulations. Furthermore, an unverified ID causes doubt on the developer’s credibility and may give rise to suspicions of fraud.

To ensure a seamless app publication process, make sure to review your developer account settings and adhere to Google’s verification criteria.

Issue 2: Missing Privacy Policy URL

One of the most common reasons Google might reject your app is a missing privacy policy. We will go through the two sections where you should have a link to your privacy policy page.

1. From the left menu, click ‘App content,’ then start your Privacy Policy declaration.

Screenshot_1

2. Enter your link for your privacy policy page and click ‘Save.’

Screenshot_2

3. From your app builder, go to the ‘Branding’ page at the onboarding themes section and add your Privacy Policy URL.

Privacy Policy

Issue 3: Need Login Credentials For App Review

Which is displayed in the form of the following message from Google:

login-credentials

Follow these steps provided by Google

When you click ‘+ Add new instructions’ field

Screenshot_5

You have to provide access to Google for the demo account that you created. Make sure to match the same email address or mobile number with the one generated from your demo account. Then, include your app login instructions:

1. Open App
2. Tap “ACCEPT AND CONTINUE”
3. Tap “Allow” to allow notifications permission
4. Under the country code select: “The country”
5. Enter the following phone number: “xxxxxxx”
6. Tap “Next”
7. App will open and you will have full access
8. The app will open granting you all permissions.
9. To delete your account go to settings -> Account -> Delete my account.

Screenshot_6

Issue 4: Account Deletion Right

When releasing your app on Google Play Console, it is essential to create a delete account page URL because it protects user rights and improves the user experience. Google prioritizes user privacy and data security; therefore, if your app doesn’t offer a clear way for users to remove their accounts and related content, it may be rejected. By providing a specific delete account page, you enable users to take charge of their personal data and make sure they can quickly delete any information that is associated with them if they so desire.

1. From the left menu, click ‘App content,’ then start your Data Safety declaration

Screenshot_7

2. Mark ‘Username and other authentication’ and add your delete account URL.

Screenshot_8

Issue 5: Missing Store Listing Information

App Description

It’s important to include both short and long descriptions of your app in the store listings area of Google Play Console so that potential users can understand how valuable it is.

The short description is shown widely in search results and acts as an interesting, short summary that grabs users’ attention quickly (ideally in less than 80 characters), highlighting the app’s main functions and unique features; therefore, you need a short, clear, specific, and interesting one because if it’s not, you could be rejected for giving false information.

While the full description attracts users who want more information and explanation before downloading. You have up to 4,000 characters to describe the app’s features, benefits, and any unique selling points.

From the left menu, click ‘Store Listings,’ and add your short and full description.

Screenshot_9

App Graphics

Adding graphics to your app, like an app icon, a feature graphic, and device screenshots, is important for making it stand out visually on the Google Play Store. These graphics also help communicate your brand’s personality and how the app works.

Using blurry or badly designed pictures can get your app turned down because Google prefers high-quality images that show what the app is really like. Make sure that your screenshots are taken from the actual app.

On the same page of Store Listing, scroll down to reach the Graphics section.

Screenshot_10

Issue 6: Copyright Issues

One of the most common reasons that leads to rejection by the Google Play Store is copyrighting. The Google Play Store has extremely stern guidelines against the infringement of copyright. Many cases of poorly copied, successful apps were the reason behind these strict guidelines. Ranging from copying titles, visual design, or even the whole app.

To avoid this mistake, you should study your competitors’ apps thoroughly to steer clear of any similarities that may be present between the apps. And then go through your app and review your app’s icons, descriptions, titles, or in-app elements to ensure it’s not conflicting with any other app as a final assurance.

Issue 7: App’s Bugs & Errors

Bugs and crashes are other common reasons why the Google Play Store might reject your app. Poor app functionality is a big factor for a lot of rejections that you seriously need to take into consideration

Google doesn’t permit applications that freeze, force-close, crash, or behave in any other abnormal way. You need to test your application numerous times and on a variety of different devices first. Testing your app first before submitting allows you to see it from a user’s perspective and fix any errors or bugs. Making sure that your app is stable and provides an excellent user experience eliminates any chance of Google rejecting it.

Issue 8: Inaccurate Content Rating

Google Play offers content ratings, which are meant to help app developers share the right content ratings with users. This information was provided in advance to help users understand if this app is suitable for a specific targeted age group of audience. It informs users, mainly parents, of potentially sensitive content that may be contained within an application.

To ensure that your app is safe for everyone, Google’s guidelines strictly prohibit a specified type of content. Breaching these guidelines will get your app instantly rejected.

The type of content that Google restricts is:

  • Sexual Content and Profanity
  • Hate Speech
  • Promoting violence
  • Sensitive Events
  • Bullying and Harassment
  • Promoting gambling

Upon submitting your application, you will need to fill out a questionnaire providing information about the nature of your content and the specified audience that can use it. The Google Play Store doesn’t consider any app without a content rating. You should fill out the questionnaire with accurate and true information, as any misleading details or information that leads to the wrong app content rating will put your app at risk. Google gives you another chance to refill the questionnaire properly with the right information and submit your app once again.

Be aware that if your app includes user-generated content, it may increase your risk. You should always revise, review, and monitor all the content on your app, remove any content that may pose a risk of restricting your app once and for all, and make all the necessary adjustments. You should also mention that in your policies to make it clear for all users. Repeated violations of the restricted content guidelines can result in the permanent termination of your account, so take good care of it.

Issue 9: Presence Of Malware

Malware is simply any code present within the app that puts a user at risk and may lead to his data, device, or security being violated. Google’s guidelines about malware are straightforward and stern. As soon as you submit the app, we immediately reject it if it contains malware or includes a link to malware in any part or description.

So, to avoid the hassle of submitting and resubmitting, you have to go through your app and your app’s code to make sure all the links are clean, with not even a 1% chance of the presence of malware. This can guarantee that you publish the app seamlessly.

After following this article and the Google Play Store guidelines thoroughly, you can now enjoy a prompt and easy submission process and enjoy your app without worrying about the Google Play Store rejecting it.

How To Make A Mobile App In Five Steps?

The competition is fierce. In such a fast-changing market, online businesses strive for customer satisfaction more than ever. Even amidst the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), businesses are seeking new channels to reach and convert customers—to stay ahead as much as they can. Such a rising challenge explains the repeated queries hitting Google nowadays: How to make a mobile app? What are the steps needed to make it fast and high-quality? Is having a mobile-friendly website enough?

Mobile apps are already taking the lead in internet traffic. According to Statista, as of January 2020, mobile users surfing the internet have reached 4.18 billion, out of 4.54 billion, the total of active internet users worldwide. And the number is escalating in the current situation. It’s now time for businesses worldwide to tweak their digital presence—and even bloom—despite the coronavirus concerns.

Customer Mobile App Usage Is Rising During The Time Of Coronavirus

The first quarter of 2020 has witnessed a dramatic change in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. Within the quarantine and social distancing actions, businesses are now shifting to work from home, while customers are shifting to online shopping and purchasing.

In the US, in the first week of March 2020—the time in which the pandemic Coronavirus started to lead the scene—organic installs of mobile apps in the categories of Communications, Shopping, and News showed a range of increase from 10% to 30% when compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, internet providers and mobile operators are dedicated to meeting the increasing market demands.

The last few years have witnessed a huge rise in the number of mobile application development companies, like nandbox. What makes nandbox stand out from the crowd is the time- and cost-saving approach that nandbox offers. nandbox also strives to bridge the communication gaps in different disciplines besides e-commerce: in schools and universitiescommunities, and sports clubs.

nandbox has realized how challenging the future will be and hence established a future-proof service. However, the current Coronavirus situation was quite unpredictable. But nandbox is still a reliable business companion who will keep your business continuity in focus, even amid pandemic concerns.

Make A Mobile App With nandbox: No code, No host, And No Upfront Cost Needed

On the other hand, businesses are striving to catch up with the wave and start launching their own mobile apps to better serve their customers, meet their satisfaction, and retain their loyalty in such challenging times. And as earlier highlighted by nandbox, there are even more reasons for businesses to stay ahead of the market competition by their own mobile apps.

As a reliable communications channel, push notifications have become crucial to getting integrated into mobile apps. It wakes the app in the background, alerts the users, and keeps them engaged.

Since your app is built with nandbox, all modifications and add-ons require no coding knowledge. Only with drag and drop and the insertion of simple information will your native app run seamlessly with tons of features on iOS and Android devices.

What is nandbox App Builder?

nandbox is a Canadian mobile app development platform, established in 2016. The SaaS platform has developed a no-code mobile app builder, which enables everyone to make mobile apps with best-in-class capabilities. With nandbox App Builder, you can build personalized, native, hosted-ready mobile apps with simple drag-and-drop. Neither coding nor upfront costs are needed, but a 7-day free trial and lifetime app support are.

To enable the iOS version of your nandbox-built app to push notifications, create the push notifications key and submit the file and ID on the nandbox Native Builder dashboard. Hence, the nandbox Team will then configure your Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and allow your app to send push notifications.
