In today’s fast-paced digital world, having a mobile app isn’t just an advantage. It is becoming nowadays a necessity that you cannot afford to not have. Whether you’re a bustling coffee shop, a sleek online store, or a groundbreaking startup, a mobile app can be the secret ingredient to stronger customer connections and streamlined operations. So where is the trick in this? Choosing the best mobile app builder for your business is something that could be daunting for some. Creating an app from scratch often feels like trying to bake a lemon cake without a recipe or a reference. This can be complicated, time-consuming, and not always successful. However, with a no-code app builder, things are way more different. Thankfully, these platforms and tools have entered the chat to save the day easily and to help you execute what you need easily.

These platforms make app creation as easy as pie, even for those who think “coding” is a kind of gibberish that they don’t get. Yet, with so many options out there, how do you choose the one that’s just right for your business? How can you know which one from that pool aligns with your own app vision? The stakes are high because the wrong choice could leave you stuck with an app that feels more like a clunky, mismatched hand-me-down than the custom masterpiece that you had in mind. You know these memes that go: the outfit in my head vs. the outfit in real life? Yup, that is exactly what I will save you from in this guide. Come with me in this guide to unravel how to choose the right app builder for your business or individual app idea.

Identify Your Business Needs: Understand What You Want and Aim for

Let’s start with a fun question: If your app were a superhero or even a supervillain, what powers would it have? I tend to love villains with a good backstory rather than heroes who are so righteous, like Cap, for example. But moving away from the Marvel and DC universes for now. Every business has unique needs, and figuring out what your app should do is like creating its own little unique utility belt. Should it allow customers to book appointments? Send push notifications with special deals? Or maybe process payments for those on-the-go shoppers? These are features that you should determine whether or not they’re making your list.

Before you dive headfirst into the sea of app builders, take a step back, take a deep breath, and think about your goals. A retail store, for example, might dream of an app that lets users browse products, track orders, and save wishlists. Meanwhile, a yoga studio might need scheduling capabilities and a way to share soothing playlists. Knowing your business inside out helps you avoid the dreaded “feature overload” trap. It will help you filter everything down and create the app of your dreams without any feelings of being overwhelmed.

Understanding your audience also plays a huge role. You cannot create an app that targets people you don’t know. It is ultimately necessary that you conduct thorough market research to determine who you are targeting exactly with your app. Who would your app suit perfectly? What are their ages and demographics? For example, a Gen Z customer will expect sleek, cutting-edge features. That is, while a more mature audience might prioritize ease of use. When you list your goals and align them with the features you truly need, you’ll be able to approach app builders with confidence and clarity of mind that will allow you to be able to filter them efficiently.

Best Mobile App Builder for Your Business: Evaluate Ease of Use

Best Mobile App Builder for Your Business Evaluate Ease of Use

Let’s face it: nobody wants to wrestle with a confusing app builder. The ease of navigating an app builder is something that is of utmost importance here. You’re already running a business, and the last thing you need is a platform that feels like a puzzle missing half its pieces. You don’t need more complications to deal with. That being said, these are platforms that are created to help you simplify the whole process and not make it worse. Choosing an app builder that’s intuitive and user-friendly is a choice that will save you hours of frustration and maybe even delay a few gray hairs from growing earlier than they should.

Imagine this hypothetical scenario with me: You sit down, ready to design your app, coffee in hand, and the interface feels like speaking a foreign language. Suddenly, what should’ve been a fun, creative process becomes a heavy chore that frustrates you and doesn’t allow you to fully relax. That’s why it’s crucial to test the waters before splashing your whole body with it. How to? It’s easy. You can start by looking for platforms that provide drag-and-drop tools or visual editors. If you’re not so familiar with the tech world and the techniques used, you’ll want a builder that doesn’t make you feel like you need a computer science degree just to get started.

Free Trials, Support, Documentation, and More!

Free Trials

Many app builders offer free trials, so take advantage of them. Play around, try creating a mock app, and see if the platform feels natural. Take nandbox’s native no-code app builder as an example. This is an app builder that grants you a 14-day free trial that helps you navigate the app builder. Additionally, it helps you understand where things are and how to drag and drop features easily in your app window.

Another highlight found in that app builder is its detailed documentation section. This is a section that acts like your ultimate guide to knowledge. And here’s a bonus tip: check out their support resources. Platforms with a library of video tutorials, FAQs, and responsive support teams are golden. That is, especially if you find yourself stuck at 2 a.m. with a coffee-fueled burst of inspiration that keeps you jittery enough to get a million tasks done within the course of an hour. Yes, I have been there, and I have done that indeed.

Best Mobile App Builder for Your Business: Consider Customization and Scalability

Customization

Think of your app as an outfit. You know that Lana Del Rey song, Blue Jeans, that says, “You fit me better than my favorite sweater?” This is how you, as a developer, should feel around your app. Nobody wants their app to feel like another generic app with a dull template to customize or design. Copying and pasting is the worst-case scenario here. Because that would be just another template that dozens of other businesses are also using. Does the app builder let you customize colors, fonts, and layouts to match your brand’s personality? Also, does it allow your magical and most personal touch to sparkle and shine? Does it allow you to add those little elements that matter, like a quirky loading animation or a cheeky error message, that make your app uniquely yours?

Customization isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about building an app that feels tailored to your business’s workflow and user experience. It’s about creating an app that screams your business name efficiently. But don’t stop there; think about scalability as well. Sure, you might start with a simple app, but what happens when your business takes off? What happens when you suddenly see that your app needs to have more e-commerce features, advanced analytics, or even an AI chatbot? Picking a platform that can grow with you is like investing in a house with extra land. One that you might not need now, but it’s good to know it’s there. Because when you’re in need of it, you won’t have to search for something else or for an alternative and start from scratch.

For example, imagine launching your app as a small café owner. Initially, it lets customers view your menu and place orders. Fast forward a year, and your café is a hit! You’re already head over heels with all the orders and demand that you’re getting. You now want loyalty programs, customer reviews, and maybe even a delivery tracker. A scalable app builder ensures you’re ready for when your app succeeds greatly and takes its biggest leap.

Wrapping It Up!

Choosing the best mobile app builder for your business might seem overwhelming, but it’s all about asking the right questions and knowing your priorities. When you identify your needs, evaluate usability, prioritize customization, and assess features, you will be able to make an informed decision that sets your business up for success.

Ready to take that below-zero plunge? With nandbox’s native no-code app builder, you’ll get all the tools you need to create an app that’s truly yours. Our app builder can help you create a seamless app in no time and with minimum and very cost-efficient options. You needn’t have any coding or programming expertise to use it. Let me quote my ultimate favorite band, Twenty One Pilots, and tell you to “stay your pretty eyes on course” and focus on your app’s vision. Don’t even think of worrying about any technical issues or hassles. All you have to do is leave the heavy lifting to us, and we’ll take care of everything code-related for you. Simply get started by choosing a template, customizing it based on your preferences, and voila! Your app is ready to be deployed and launched in no time. Breathe life into your app idea now and don’t waste another second.

The Art of Chat App Development: A Comprehensive Guide

How important do you think chat apps are? Let me tell you that chat apps are more significant than you could ever imagine. Whether you are against technology, an average person, or even a tech freak, you certainly use messaging and chat apps every day or every hour. It is now not a luxury but pretty much a necessity. People are now beyond the idea of just using, thanks to the democratization of technology, which has completely transformed how individuals interact with and use technologies. They are now aiming for something way bigger, which any person has already accomplished. This would be building chat apps rather than just using them. In this article, we will explore the vast sea of chat apps and instant messaging while emphasizing one part, which is how to build a chat app.

What is a Chat App, and How Does it Work?

As always, we will start by briefly defining the term “chat app.” A chat app or instant messaging app is a type of app that allows users to exchange messages and other file formats instantly and securely. The process of how chat apps work is complex yet very interesting, and it includes a rich list of technologies and tools that allow the seamless exchange of texts between users. The first technology used for chat apps is messaging protocols.

A messaging protocol is one of the core tools used for instant messaging, as it is a set of structures and rules that regulate the ongoing transmission of data between two users. These protocols, such as Web Socket, facilitate the process of sending and receiving any sort of message through networks. Another core technology used is a real-time messaging system. As the name implies, this technology is everything and what makes instant messaging possible. This system includes the servers where a message is received, processed, and sent to the other side. It helps messages follow the proper and exact route of delivery. The last technology needed to build a chat app is encryption. Encryption is very necessary to implement, as it secures the messages throughout their route.

Are Chat or Instant Messaging Apps the Same as Live Chat Apps?

Some people might mix between live chats and instant chats or messaging. However, both terms and apps are completely different in terms of everything. Instant messaging apps involve the exchange and delivery of messages between two parties. The one we are used to every day. However, no matter where you are or whether you are available or not, you will receive the message and view the chat at any time. On the other hand, live chats are not available. Live chat apps are usually used for customer support. The process of exchanging messages in live chat apps requires the engagement and availability of both parties in the chat. Additionally, they will end the minute one of the parties leaves and won’t be retrieved again. This opposes the concept of instant messaging, where a chat will stay as long as any of the two parties want to.

Exploring Chat Apps From The Very Beginning

Now, let us get a glimpse of the very first start of chat apps. But first, did you know there are more than 100 billion messages sent via WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger? While over 15 billion messages are sent and received each day by Telegram. These numbers, compared to the numbers at the very beginning, are exceptional and almost unimaginable.

The concept of sending and receiving messages via mobile phone originated in the late 1980s. However, it was limited to SMS messages, with the first-ever SMS sent somewhere in 1992. At first, texting via SMS was very expensive, as it was not yet a popular technology. However, a year or two later, it ruled the world and became a breakthrough. Apple’s iMessage was also one of the very forms of modernized texting that inspired chat apps.

In the mid-2000s, another form of messaging appeared that also had a lot to do with chat apps, which are messaging software and platforms like Yahoo and Skype. These platforms took a different direction than the instant messaging technology that we know now; however, it also paved the way for chat apps and advanced messaging technologies.

During this time, text messaging was already the first and foremost method of communication for everyone. However, the emergence of chat apps unlocked many capabilities of text messaging that were beyond reach. Applications like WhatsApp, which is a leading chat app, have transformed and created a unique texting experience for users like never before.

What Does A User Need From a Chat App

There is a set or a list of things that users look for in any chat app. This list changes during the evolution of chat apps and probably will change with the current advancements taking place. However, there are some standard attributes that users always look for.

The first thing that users always seek is security. In any chat app, data security and safety are always guaranteed. Users should always rest assured that the content of all their conversations is private. This is accomplished through applying firm security protocols and encryption that help secure the whole journey of a message to and from a user.

Another thing that users always seek from a chat app is customization. Customizing a chat app is one thing that helps users enjoy a joyful experience. Through capabilities like customizing colors, themes, and so on, a chat app can allow users to add their personal touch and establish a connection with the app.

How Could Users Benefit From Chat Apps?

Instant Communication

Chat apps allow users to communicate instantly by exchanging messages in real time. This instantaneity gets rid of the lag time in more conventional forms of communication. The ability to exchange messages instantly, whether in a social or professional context, fosters quick decision-making, issue resolution, and coordination.

Convenience and Accessibility

The ability to communicate from a variety of devices is a major perk of these apps. Users get seamless access to their chats and contacts on any device, be it a mobile phone, tablet, or PC. Due to this accessibility, there are no geographical or technological barriers to communication, enabling seamless engagement even when switching between personal and professional settings.

Rich Media Sharing

Rich Media Sharing

Chat apps allow users to share more than just text messages; they may also play a variety of media formats. Everything from images and videos to documents and voice messages—and even a user’s current location—can be shared. This feature enhances interactions by providing more background and information, enabling more expressive and thorough speech.

Group Communication

  Group Communication

One characteristic of chat apps is group chats, which enable numerous people to participate in the same discussion. Group chats allow for collective involvement, improving cooperation and socialization, whether it’s organizing a project with coworkers, organizing an event with friends, or just discussing interests within a community.

Integration and Services

Some chat apps allow users to accomplish activities without ever leaving the chat window by integrating with other services and apps. For example, you can do things like place an order, pay for it, set up an appointment, or get in touch with customer care without ever leaving the chat app. The simplification and improvement of the user experience are direct results of this integration of features.

Interactive Elements (Emojis, GIFs, and Stickers)

Interactive Elements (1)

Modern communication would not be possible without interactive elements, which give messages more personality, wit, or emotion. As visual elements, they help communicate emotions, tone, and reactions, which in turn make conversations more interesting and relevant.

Work Collaboration

Chat apps are great for teams in the workplace because they allow everyone to stay in the loop. In particular, they make it easier for distant workers to share and receive updates, as well as assign tasks and coordinate projects. As a result, collaboration is increased and communication is smooth.

Developing social skills is the main purpose of messaging apps, and no, it isn’t just to communicate globally. Communication and social skills are two sides of the same coin. Both are incredibly important to the human race. We all need to talk and get to know people. If you aim to create an app that enhances communication between people, we’ve got you! We will guide you on how to make a messaging app just like Viber.

Steps to Making a Successful Messaging App Like Viber

It will not be as complicated as you might think it will be. No-code app builder solutions have made it easier to create a messaging app. You have no need for prior programming or coding knowledge. All you have to do is simply drag and drop your desired features and implement them in your app. Below, we will discuss what steps you should take to make a messaging app like Viber. Along with all the must-have features a messaging app should have.

Understand Your App’s Idea

You should fully understand the concept behind your app. How is it that you’ll have an idea that you don’t understand? you ask. I’m not implying that you came up with something complicated or that it cannot be comprehended. I’m simply saying that you have to make sure you did your research, understood all aspects that could help you succeed, studied all risks, and did your competitor analysis in a thorough way.

Define the Features of Your Messaging App

The first step to developing a messaging app like Viber is to decide what features you want for your app. This includes core features such as voice and video messages, private chats, group chats, and media sharing. You should also think about advanced features like media compression, the ability to tell if a message has been read or not, and a push notification service. Defining the features will help you create a structure around your app development process.

Make Sure to Choose the Right Platform for Developing Your App

Once you have decided on the features for the app, it’s time to select the right platform. Essentially, your app can be developed as either an Android or iOS native apps. Hybrid apps with a single codebase. In addition to cross-platform solutions such as React Native and Flutter. There are several no-code app development platforms and tools that could help you. All these platforms have their own pros and cons. You will have to think carefully and choose the most suitable platform to develop your messaging app, like Viber.

Design a High-Performing Database Architecture

If you want to make your app the old-fashioned way by writing code. Follow our advice and focus on your database architecture. Database architecture plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding app performance. Make sure to create a database that is scalable. Therefore, it will be capable of handling multiple users and different levels of traffic. Also, select the right development tool that supports your specific app requirements and works well with the programming language you use. This could be either MySQL, MongoDB, or any other database development language. Lastly, think about using cloud storage services like Amazon S3 to store information in a reliable, safe, and efficient way.

Build the Core Structure and UI/UX of Your Messaging App

The core structure of a messaging app includes designing the user interface and experience, displaying notifications, storing messages, and setting up communication channels. Begin by designing a simple, intuitive UI that is mobile-optimized and looks great on any device. Second, think about adding popular messaging features like push notifications, which let users know when they have new messages or content. After that, concentrate on setting up secure communication channels that your users will use. Lastly, set up the database so that all messages are stored safely in the cloud or on a secure server so that they can be accessed quickly whenever needed.

Implement Security and Admin Settings in Your Messaging App

Set up security and admin settings in your app to make sure that all users can send and receive messages safely. End-to-end encryption is just one of the security measures that are needed to keep people from talking to each other who shouldn’t be able to. You should also add administrative features that let you keep track of what users are doing, manage databases, and set up things like private chat and group chat. These features will help you keep your platform safe and set privacy requirements that are unique to your messaging platform.

Must-Have Features in a Messaging App

Here are some key features you should add to your messaging app to make sure it will be used and successful in the future:

Contacts

The more connections a person has in a chat app, the more frequently they will use it for this purpose, which is typically how people use chat apps to communicate with their friends. The same holds true for business-related messaging apps. Because of this, it’s crucial to make integrating contacts as simple as possible; ideally, they should be immediately imported from the contacts book. Modern messaging apps allow users to send invites to contacts who haven’t yet signed up and provide a list of contacts who have already downloaded the app. Users should be able to find potential partners by using their phone numbers or email addresses.

Group chats

Group chats (1)

For current audiences, a messaging app that doesn’t enable group chat is useless. When making a messaging app, you should think about what your users want. They may want public or private group messaging, chat in sub-groups, or dedicated channels. Even leaving private comments on messages made in public groups is possible with some software.

Security enhancement mechanisms

Security enhancement mechanisms

Every digital tool should pay special attention to security and privacy, and developing chat apps for desktop, the web, or mobile devices is no exception. Fraudsters are very interested in personal data, so you will need to come up with strong and complex ways to protect it from theft (including identity theft) and cyberattacks. Use end-to-end encryption to do this; in such a case, the recipients will be given the keys necessary to decode the messages they receive. This is a popular way to stop people (including the messenger app provider) from getting to the content without permission. If one message is really intercepted and decoded, this can be done by WhatsApp or Telegram. Telegram updates the cryptographic key regularly to keep other messages from being hacked.

Video and voice calls

Video and voice calls

Voice calls are being replaced by chat apps more and more, especially in global settings. No matter where participants are located, the majority of chat programs let you make calls for free over the internet. You should be able to make video calls through your chat program in addition to voice calls, and you should be able to do so inside groups. Users expect to be able to communicate using these methods; therefore, if that’s your target market, incorporate that last feature right at the MVP stage. It will take additional time and financial investment.

Push notifications

Users of chat apps must be informed when a new message arrives, even if they aren’t actively using the app at the time. Let users personalize their notifications, like with other apps. They could want to know when a receiver has read a message or when a particular contact is online. It could also help with direct communication with app users, like letting them know about important updates or when their payment plan is about to expire.

What did nandbox accomplish in 2022

1. A New and Enhanced iOS Development Process

One of the things that the nandbox app builder was able to accomplish in 2022 is offering the app developers a streamlined and enhanced iOS development process. Known for its complexity, the iOS development process was a nightmare for many developers. Especially when it came to testing and launching the app in the Apple App Store. However, nandbox was able to demolish all the traditional, time- and effort-consuming processes and come up with a more easy and straightforward process.

Through the nandbox app builder, app developers can now design and develop their iOS apps with all the features they want in no time. It makes it possible for the developers to configure and integrate the application’s database server and backend system. By adding buttons that lead to sub-menus, each accomplishing a step. Payment and transaction systems can be integrated to generate tasks like money transfers, placing orders, and many more. This feature is ideal for e-commerce and banking apps.

3. nandbox Documentation

In 2022, nandbox introduced a new section of the website, which is the documentation. The documentation section shows detailed instructions through the app builder and guides new users through every feature, explaining how it worked and how they could add it to their apps. The documentation also showcases some solutions and in-depth guides to building apps like e-commerce, school, messenger, and booking apps. It guides users through the most useful and recommended features to include in an app of this type.

There is also an API part in the documentation that details everything related to APIs and chatbots for more advanced developers. Details on their functionality and the tools that developers will need to make or incorporate are provided. The nandbox group also had a Q&A forum in case the user still had unanswered questions after reading the documentation. In this section, they may post any inquiries, and the support team will act immediately.

4. Backup Feature

Backup Feature

In addition to the multiple profile feature, which also recently received seven patents, the nandbox messenger is constantly being updated and expanded. Last year, nandbox provided their messenger and the millions of users using it with the backup feature. This feature allows users to back up all their data from chats, media, etc. The feature will immediately back up any data chosen by the user, no matter the size or type, without the intervention of any third-party applications to do so. All the user needs to do is sync their Google or Apple account, and they are good to go. Of the many well-known messaging apps available today, nandbox messenger has quickly risen to prominence. With many years and many improvements and new features to come.

Introducing the nandbox Messenger

nandbox Inc., based in Ontario, started in 2015 with one goal: to develop a no-code app builder that offers various helpful solutions for businesses. A powerful messenger, known among software developers as the most complicated mobile application type to develop, was at the top of their list.

They achieved their initial goal by launching the nandbox messenger in 2016. Generated by the nandbox app builder, the nandbox messenger is a competent messenger that contends for a place among the greats. This article will take you on a journey to explore the capabilities of the nandbox messaging application.

The nandbox messenger is a free messaging application for personal and professional use that includes advanced features and places a strong emphasis on privacy.

nandbox Messenger features

This section will discuss and go into the features of the nandbox messenger, leaving out the more unique ones, which we will discuss later in the article.

Interface

Once you open nandbox messenger, you’re met with a welcoming splash screen that displays all the features of the mobile application. The splash screen gives users clues on what to expect when using the application. The app’s interface is an elegant green with three home menus: One for chat, a second for the channels, and the third is a call log.

Below the app’s screen, you will find a plus sign in a green circle, where you can start a new personal chat, group chat, or channel, or use a QR scanner. Your account has its own QR code that other users can scan to add you to their contact list.

When you start chatting, you will notice the distinctive chat hierarchy, which organizes messages according to priority and not according to chat date and time. The messenger has three hierarchies. The developers at nandbox designed the application’s interface with simplicity, functionality, and better organization in mind.

Message Control: Edit and Recall messages

Users can edit or recall messages at any time with the nandbox messenger. Editing messages solves the problem of typos, which are common but always vexing. You can edit the messages at any time, overriding the original message. The new edited message will have a pencil icon.

We’ve all sent messages to the wrong recipient(s). Fortunately, the nandbox messenger supports message recall. Once you recall a message, other participants will know, as shown in the picture below.

Interactive Channels

An interactive channel is similar to a group, except that only admins can post in the former. Businesses and communities use it to post updates, offers, and announcements.

Channels are now popular on many messengers. With nandbox messenger, you can create a channel and broadcast news to unlimited subscribers.

The developers at nandbox took extra care to make channels slightly different for better viewing. For example, when a user replies to an announcement, the admin will receive the message in a separate window that will display future interactions between the participants.

Another thing that makes the channels stand out is their layout. It is similar to photo-sharing mobile applications where the photo takes up a large share of the screen, as shown below. The UI designers at nandbox made it that way to make it appear more like a news feed than a one-sided chat.

High-Quality Audio and Video Calls

The nandbox messenger isn’t just a chatting app; you can also use it to make high-quality audio and video calls. The implementation of WebRTC technology is the reason why the call quality is excellent. WebRTC allows for advanced features and powerful voice and video communication. Moreover, the nandbox server has a high bandwidth for better signaling and maximum connection capacity.

The nandbox Messenger Innovations

1. The Multiple Profiles Feature Invented by nandbox

The multiple profiles feature is an innovation with patents in Canada, the United States, Korea, Japan, and Europe. A patent is an intellectual property that inventors use to prevent others from making, using, or selling an invention for a specified time. nandbox Messenger is the only messenger that can legally use this feature.

The Idea Behind Multiple Profiles

Have you ever seen the meme about adding different profile pictures for each social media platform? Your Facebook profile, made for family, is definitely not the same as your LinkedIn profile for work opportunities.

In every other messaging app, everyone who can access your profile can view your profile picture. In nandbox messenger, however, the developers invented the multiple profiles feature, where you can have up to 4 profiles, one for your family, friends, work, and the public. Each profile will show a different profile picture of your choice and an optional display name and quote.

The main idea behind the multiple profiles feature goes back to the developer’s desire to preserve users’ privacy. It separates your profile as a co-worker from that of a friend, a family member, or a stranger. Additionally, strangers won’t be able to access your profile picture in a public channel or group chat if you leave your public profile without one.

The Technology Behind the Multiple Profile Feature

Before exploring the back-end technology underlying multiple profiles, these terms will help you understand the technical aspects of the feature.

Asynchronous messaging:

Simply put, asynchronous messaging doesn’t require an instant live connection between participants. Texting is one form of synchronous messaging, as opposed to video or audio calls, which are examples of synchronous messages. In other words, you don’t have to respond or receive messages instantly when using that communication method.

MSISDN: Mobile Station Integrated Services Digital Network:

MSISDN is a unique identifier for mobile numbers that specifies that a user is a subscriber on a mobile network.

Client and Server:

Clients and servers communicate together to form core operations in modern software. The client acts like a requester and the server acts as the responder.

The process

Now we get to the backstage operation that happens when the user registers multiple profiles. It is a sophisticated yet straightforward process. After the user sends a request for multiple profiles, the asynchronous messaging server links profiles to the user’s asynchronous account.

Then, the contact list MSISDN is sent to the asynchronous messaging server, which stores it and obtains the account identifiers for the contact list and the profile designated to appear for each contact.

In other words, the server uses each contact’s identifier number and connects it with one of the four profiles.

How to Use This Feature

When you start using the nandbox messenger, you will notice more than one profile icon in the side menu. Click on them to add a display name and an optional picture and quote for each of your profiles. Then, when you’re viewing a contact’s profile, select the relationship from friend, family, work, or public, which will determine which profile the contacts can view.

2. A Sophisticated Chatbot at Your Service

Messenger chatbots are now popular among businesses to communicate with customers and answer inquiries. The nandbox messenger’s API/Bot offers a wide array of functions, including an option for users to create and manage their bot. Before discussing the nandbox API/bot, we’ll explain these terms.

Chatbot

AI-powered software that can simulate conversations and respond to them in a human-like manner. Another type of bot can perform one or more tasks, as programmed, like Siri and Alexa.

Application Programming Interface (API)

An API is fundamentally the bridge or server that enables applications to exchange conversations. It delivers requests and sends back responses.

Chatbot API

A chatbot API processes the message sent by the user using Natural Language Processing (NLP), then the API accesses the data required and delivers back a comprehensive response.

Types of Chatbots

Chatbots have two main types, and both are available on nandbox messenger. The first type is the chat/API bot, where users can chat directly by opening an API/Bot chat or indirectly through an app, group, or channel.

The second type is the inline API/Bot, where users can inquire through the inline menu of requests or type the bot handle and write the inquiry. The pic

Other features of the nandbox API/Bot system:

  • An inline keypad menu: An exclusive feature where users can select from preset options. It can be used for voting, filtering searches, or more.

  • Messages Editing. The edited messages will show a pencil icon.
  • Irrelevant filtering of messages in groups and channels is possible if you enable that function.
  • Deep linking chatbots: Adding extra messages that users can click on to be directed to a website or URL.

To create your own chatbot, open the settings in the side menu and select the bot manager. You can choose its name and book a unique username for your bot before configuring it.

3. nandbox Messenger Integrates with Zapier

Zapier is an automation platform that can connect more than 5000 apps. With Zapier, you can send one message to multiple apps, like Slack or Mailchimp, by setting triggers and actions. It saves time by not having to repeat the same task.

Now that nandbox is integrated with Zapier, you can connect it to thousands of applications. The integration platform has a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it will enhance time management.

An instance of using Zapier is sending an email using Gmail when you connect nandbox messenger to the email service provider. A trigger would be receiving an attachment in your email, and the action would be creating a post in a channel.

The nandbox Messenger Emphasizes Privacy

Privacy is not the same as security. While the nandbox messenger is undoubtedly secure from threats and attacks, its developers have also implemented various policies for data protection, one of which is the General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). Here are some of the features that nandbox created to preserve your privacy.

  1. Multiple Profiles Feature: As shown above, you can control how your contacts view your profile.
  2. Private Channels and Group Chats: These channels can only be accessed through admin invitations.
  3. Consent: You aren’t allowed to add a contact to a group or channel or share their profile without their approval.
  4. Your Data Is Safe: nandbox Inc. has no intention of storing the user’s data, making it safe and private. In the nandbox messenger privacy policy, the company states:

“The contents of messages and communications that have been delivered by nandbox messenger are not copied, kept, or archived on our servers. Once a message has been delivered, it no longer resides on our servers. The contents of any delivered messages are not kept or retained by nandbox.”

The nandbox Messenger is a Multi-Purpose Messaging App

Most messengers are perfect for day-to-day personal chatting. This section substantiates that nandbox messenger is also fit to serve as a work communications application without any need to pay a fee per user.

  1. Again, the multiple profiles feature can separate work life from personal life. Your boss and co-workers don’t have to see your pictures on the beach.
  2. Channels can accommodate unlimited subscribers: A company, regardless of its size, can use the channels to broadcast news, updates, new policies, and rules. Seeing that only admins can post in channels, no irrelevant personal messages will get in the way of announcements.
  3. Privacy: The privacy policy in the previous section proves that nandbox can protect sensitive data. Moreover, private channels and group chats can prevent intruders from accessing undisclosed interactions.
  4. Cloud-processing: Data is backed up and stored in a cloud, so you don’t have to worry about losing important information.
  5. Chat Hierarchy: There are three levels of chat hierarchy that give priority to specific chats for better organization.
  6. nandbox web: a web page is available for users to use the messenger on their PCs by securely scanning their account’s QR codes.

The Origin of the nandbox Messenger: Generated by The nandbox app builder

The chicken came before the egg, and the chicken, in this case, is the nandbox app builder. Development on the no-code native app builder started the same day nandbox Inc. was established.

A skillful Android and iOS software developers team worked diligently to make a no-code app builder like no other. And the nandbox messenger is living proof of that. The software team takes care of the programming part, and the app creator’s job is to create a personalized and fully- functional, feature-rich mobile application.

The nandbox app builder offers its messenger features for anyone wishing to create a chat app or a built-in messenger in their app. The fact that a channel can have unlimited subscribers and a group chat can have up to 50,000 people shows that the system is highly scalable.

Any messenger app generated by the nandbox app builder can host high-quality audio and video calls, owing to the nandbox server’s high bandwidth. And nandbox messenger users can attest to the app’s high availability compared to other messengers on the market.

The nandbox messenger app currently has a 4.3 star rating on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The nandbox system is a proven system that provides companies with reliable and stable solutions with a huge potential for scalability.

Recalling Your Messages Has Never Been Easier!

Have you ever regretted sending messages by mistake?  You don’t have to worry anymore. Because one text message may ruin your day or cause you unwanted loss, nandbox messenger has developed a feature to let you recall your messages at any time. Unlike most of the other apps, nandbox messenger did not set any time restrictions!

You will have the option of deleting the message from your phone or recalling it from the recipient’s device. This works with group chat, channel chat, and one-on-one chat.

Messages you already recalled from everyone will be replaced with messages that have been recalled in case the recipient did not see the message before you recalled it; nothing will be noticed at all!

There are a few tips you may need to know about this feature:

  • You must recall one message at a time.
  • You cannot recall a message if you have already deleted it from your device.
  • This will affect only the original message or file. It will not affect any copies the recipient may have already made or received from another source.

How do you recall unwanted messages in nandbox Messenger?

For Android users:

  1. Open nandbox Messenger and find the message you want to recall.
  2. Tap and hold the message. A garbage can icon will appear in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select the garbage can icon. Select the recall option. Tap OK.

Recall Messages for IOS Users:

  1. Open nandbox Messenger and find the message you want to recall.
  2. Tap and hold the message. A menu will appear.
  3. Select Recall from the menu. A checkmark will appear next to the message.
  4. Select the arrow icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. This will complete the recall.

How Does Messenger Channel Work?

nandbox Messenger allows you to create Channels for business or personal use. Either way, you’re always in control of access and privacy.

  • Privacy: Set a Channel as private or public. Public Channels are searchable by category within the app. In conclusion, anyone can join or invite others to join a public Channel.
  • Sharability: A unique QR code and share link are automatically generated when a new public Channel is created.
